Welcome to my teacher "gym" page here at the NEW Drayton Mills Elementary. I actually feel like I just hit the grand slam of my teaching career here at Drayton Mills just because of the 'superstars' in K thru 5. Elementary Education is the most important part of the learning / motor development of your child and I am so estatic to be a part of those growing years.

I am thrilled to say that I have been "coaching in the classroom" on the elementary level for almost 24 years and have enjoyed every single second. I grew up in Inman and graduated from Chapman High School in '83. Prior to graduation I received an academic and athletic scholarship for baseball from Anderson Jr. College then  transfered to Winthrop University in Rock Hill SC. I was very fortunate to play baseball through college, the summer wooden bat league in Virginia and then later played in Shreveport La. Within a week I ended my career as a baseball player by badly injuring my shoulder and then decided to come back home to finish up my schooling at Unversity of SC at Spartanburg. I will admit 'the best play' of my life was getting injured and going back to school to restart my journey as a Physical Educator.

Now I enjoy playing golf with my "professional amatuers", keeping up with the Gamecocks and local teams, going camping/ RVing, travelling to historical sites, and landscaping around my home. 

So, "batter up" and let's start this school year off and running for the fences.
