A Heart for Giving: D7's United Way Campaign Tops $40,000

Each day, our teachers and staff demonstrate the power they have to positively impact lives. So, in keeping with impacting lives and working for change, during the month of December, our D7 family came together to show kindness and generosity in all its forms by giving our voice, money and advocacy to support our community through the annual United Way of the Piedmont Campaign. Live United is the goal of our United Way and in District 7, it's a goal we rally around as well. We know we can do far more together than any of us can on our own, and in reaching out our hand to one, we influence the condition of all. One for all…All for one…UNITED – because we ALL belong! This year, District 7 raised close to 40K in employee gifts and pledges for the Community Impact Fund. It takes every one of us to build a better community. Thank you, D7!!

    Welcome to District 7

This is an exciting time in the life of Spartanburg District 7. With a new state-of-the-art high school that recently opened and a redesign of the former high school building to house a middle school – there’s tangible momentum across the District. In fact, a closer look reveals a long tradition of excellence and innovation throughout the decades. Honored as an Apple Distinguished Program following our progress with 1:1 technology, and selected as a member of the nation’s League of Innovative Schools – District 7 continues to earn regional and national visibility for its commitment to equity in education and its emphasis on the critical role of blended learning in today’s instruction. If you and your family are new to town, come take a look at our schools, meet our teachers and explore the wide range of opportunities available to our children throughout District 7. D7 Makes History with SC Premiere of FROZEN!

  • frozengroup

Our students have taken their final bow and waved as the curtain closed for the last time, but Disney's Frozen, The Broadway Musical will live on in D7 for years to come! This production was monumental, starring over 200 student actors, musicians, and stage crew in our own world-class District 7 Fine Arts Center, with support from countless staff, parents, and community members. As the first and only school district in South Carolina to be awarded rights to the full Broadway version from Disney, we truly made history by bringing Frozen to life as one of the most stunning, brilliant and meaningful shows in District 7 history.

District 7 is forever grateful to our community for their support.
