McCracken Middle has earned the prestigious national School to Watch by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform, and recognized at the National Schools to Watch Conference in Washington, DC in 2014. The organization evaluates and recognizes middle schools across the nation based on criteria that indicate high performance. Visit the Schools to Watch website to find out more about the initiative.  During the 2017-2018 school year McCracracken applied for Redesignation One as a National School To Watch.  After the visiting team conducted a thorough site visit, interviewed all staff, our district leadership team, and a number of students in addition to classroom observations we were awarded the Redesignation One status.  This award demonstrated considerable growth and develpment as a School to Watch in the areas of Academic Excellence, Social Equity, Developmental Responsiveness and Organizational Structures.  This is quite an honor and one that reflcts the dedication, devotion, creative energy, innovation and hard work of our staff, parents and community on behalf of students.
