JBE Announcements

While having everyone visit the school and our classrooms would be optimal, we will not have our traditional Back to School night inside the building. We will have in-person drive-thru sessions for our first through fifth graders, and we will have sessions for our Kindergarten families to meet their teachers outdoors as well (weather permitting).

For our Kindergarten families, we will have sessions on Thursday, August 13 between 3-5 pm for which you will be contacted with a time by your child's teacher. They will be in contact regarding times and the location in the front of the school.

For our first through fifth grade families, we will have days/times for you all to drive through the car line and see your new teachers in person on Friday, August 14. Our teachers will also be producing virtual tours of their classrooms so that our families can see where our students are learning. Grades 2-5, you will also receive your devices at this time.

    1st Grade: 9:00-9:45

    2nd Grade: 10-10:45

    3rd Grade: 11-11:45

    4th Grade: 1-1:45

    5th Grade: 2-2:45

*If there is an issue with the day/time, please contact jesseboyd@spart7.org as soon as possible.

Device pick-up and iReady assessment for our families who chose the Virtual Option will occur on August 13th and 14th. The iReady assessment is required and must take place at JBE. In order to make it as safe as possible, we will conduct this in the cafeteria. Please park in the side parking lot by the cafeteria if possible. If you are unable to park in the side lot, please walk around to the cafeteria doors for the student to be allowed in.  Temperature checks will occur at the door.

    August 13:

    2nd and 3rd grades: 8:00 am-11:00 am

    4th and 5th grades: 1 pm-4 pm

    August 14:

    Kindergarten and 1st grade: 8:00 am-11:00 am

Students will need to be dropped off for the assessment, as it will take 2 hours or more. If your child is in Kindergarten, we will allow one parent in a mask to walk them into the cafeteria, help them get seated and comfortable, then exit the cafeteria.

**If your child is not registered with JBE either on Infosnap or through JBE, they will not be issued a D7 device. ONLY APPLYING FOR D7 VIRTUAL SCHOOL DOES NOT QUALIFY AS FULL REGISTRATION. If you have not done this, please contact JBE immediately. Each child must be registered into Powerschool.
