We are very excited to have the opportunity to offer The Panther Prowl After School Enrichment Program for Pine Street Students in grades 3-5! In this structured environmentyour child will receive academic enrichment time which includes some one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction/assistance from PSS Teachers and Local Volunteers. Our program will be offered Monday-Thursday from 2:30pm–5:30pm. We will meet every day when school is a regular full-day for students. A daily snack will be provided.

We will provide your child with some extra chances to sharpen their skills in music, art, dance, writing, language, sports and many more! We will be offering different enrichment activities throughout the year.
Examples of Enrichment Activities:• Computer Coding Activities• Technology Integration• Typing Instruction• Leadership Skill Building Activities• Lego Robotics• Visual Arts• Performance Arts• Media Arts• Library Exploration

PSS Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Mary Ann Stoddard!
The votes are in... and Pine Street School is proud to announce our Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year is Mary Ann Stoddard!!! Mrs. Stoddard has been teaching at Pine Street for quite a while, and her influence can be felt within the building and throughout the community.
Each year teachers are given the opportunity to nominate one of their colleagues to be on the ballot with a small write-up to qualify their nomination. Mrs. Stoddard's nomination stated the following:
"Mary Ann defines "educator." She spends countless hours planning, instructing and tutoring students. She makes an effort to know her students and their individual needs. Never have I known such an advocate for what is best for students. Beyond that, she instructs her peers in best practices in reading, writing, social studies and arts infusion. She inspires me to be a better educator."
Pine Street School is truly honored and blessed Mrs. Stoddard is a part of our family, and we know she will represent us very well in the year(s) to come! Congratulations, Mary Ann Stoddard
South Carolina Standards:
Are you interested in what your child will be required to learn at each grade level, but don't know where to look? Below you will find a link to the South Carolina Friendly Standards for parents. This link is intended to help parents understand the expectations for students at each grade level on their path to College and Career Readiness. At Pine Street we understand this is a valuable piece of information to have, but that there might be additional questions. Remember, our door is always open, and we understand the value in building relationships through communication.
