We value you as members of our school family, a learning community with multi-faceted instructional programs that address diverse needs. We offer a traditional educational program that enhances technology, math, and science with the ability to think globally. Our school focus is a Montessori Program that fosters growth and development of the whole child … the absolute way to become great!

Mrs. Renee Kennedy

Mrs. Kennedy has been with Spartanburg School District Seven for twenty-six years.  Prior to joining the staff at E. P. Todd, she taught 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade at Jesse Boyd Elementary.  From there, she moved to Mary H. Wright Elementary where she served as Curriculum and Instructional Facilitator through the State Department of Education.  
 
Mrs. Kennedy earned her undergraduate degree, master's degree, and administrative degree from Converse College.  In addition, she obtained National Board Certification.  
 
On a personal note, Mrs. Kennedy is married, has two children, and is a very proud grandmother.  During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, attending musical theater productions, and antiquing.  
 
Mrs. Kennedy believes reading is the foundation of all learning and is thrilled to be a part of a faculty who promotes literacy in all subjects.  She is honored and extremely appreciative to work alongside students, teachers, families, and the community to "Inspire and Equip" students for a bright and successful future.

Mr. Johnny Rhode

Mr. Johnny Rhode is entering is ninth year in education. He spent six years as a Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director at Spartanburg Prep School. He was also the ESOL teacher at Chapman High School. Mr. Rhode's undergraduate degree is from USC Upstate in Physical Education. He continued his education at Southern Wesleyan University with a Masters Degree in Classroom Leadership and Administration and Supervision. Mr. Rhode is excited to join the EP Todd team as an Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Vanessa Norman

Lower Elementary, Grades K-2

Mrs. Vanessa Norman graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Art degree in Elementary Education. She received a Master of Science degree in Guidance & Counseling from Jacksonville State University. Mrs. Norman then completed her certification in Administration & Supervision from Clemson University. She currently has 30 years of experience in assisting to maintain positive learning environments where students can feel safe and have the guidance and resources they need to be successful.

She enjoys traveling, shopping and more shopping. Mrs. Norman is honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the Todd Squad.
