GED / High School Equivalency Diploma

  • Spartanburg County Adult Education's High School Equivalency classes prepare students to pass the four sections of the GED Assessment - Reasoning Through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics.

    Classes are taught by certified teachers in both individualized and whole group settings. Courses of study are personalized to meet each students' specific strengths and weaknesses, which are determined by the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) upon enrolling in class.

    Students also have access to Spartanburg County Adult Education's College and Career Navigator who assists students with job searches, filling out job applications, applying to college, assistance with FAFSA completion which is required for financial aid, and many other college and career services.

    Scholarships are available for Spartanburg County Adult Education students to assist in paying for the GED Assessment.

    Childcare vouchers and transportation assistance are also available for students who qualify.
