JBE Honored for Embracing Digital Citizendship
Did you know nearly five years after launching our ambitious 1:1 technology initiative, we can proudly report our digital immersion has far exceeded our expectations. Our belief that every child should be afforded an equal opportunity to succeed, in school and beyond, has been affirmed by heightened levels of student and faculty engagement, by innovative advances in curriculum design, and by numerous national organizations that have commended our progress.
This time the spotlight is on Jesse Boyd Elementary (JBE) School. The nation’s leading tech savvy gurus at Common Sense Education who are the experts at helping families and educators thrive in a world of media and technology have singled out JBE for embracing digital citizenship as an important part of their students' education. The school is being honored for the third year in a row as a Common Sense Certified School for Digital Citizenship.
Pointing to visionary leadership, innovative learning and teaching, and a commitment to teaching students how to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly the experts at Common Sense Media Education applauded the entire school community for equipping their students to navigate the digital world and to compete, succeed and participate ethically in society.
