I am Dr. Tim Scipio, the Director of Brookwood Academy here at the Whitlock Flexible Learning Center.  I have been in the field of education for 20 years serving students and families in Spartanburg County.  I am a native of Darlington, South Carolina. 

I attended Clemson University to earn an undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology Education, and attended the University of South Carolina to earn a Doctoral Degree in Education Supervision and Administration.  My dissertation was written on a case study of alternative schools and behavior modification programs.  For 14 years I have enjoyed working with students with special needs, and collaborating with other educators to ensure the students' academic success.  I am excited about joining the Spartanburg District 7 Team and the students in Brookwood Academy.
