Viking Early College

The Viking Early College (VEC), a partnership between Spartanburg School District Seven (District) and Spartanburg Community College (SCC), is a four-year accelerated program designed as an alternative to the traditional high school program by providing an opportunity for male students from Spartanburg High School (SHS) to earn both a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree while in high school. VEC students attend college classes each day on the campus of SCC.

Early College Program at SCC

The Early College Program is a dual credit program at SCC that lets high school students earn both high school and college credit at the same time. It is available to female students at Spartanburg High School.
Scholars Academy USC Upstate

A partnership between Spartanburg County Schools and USC Upsate, whereby students can take college courses at no cost to them along with advanced high school courses over four years, while still participating in activities at their home school.
Spartanburg County Public Virtual School

The seven school districts in Spartanburg County have collaborated to offer a K–12 virtual school aimed at providing a high-quality web-based learning initiative. Spartanburg County Public Virtual School is a comprehensive, fully accredited standards-based program that may provide an appropriate option to address specific student needs.
To participate, a student must be enrolled in his or her home school district and have prior approval for virtual school programs or courses. For additional information, contact your school guidance counselor or call Nora Moore, Director of Spartanburg County Public Virtual School, at 864-576-4212.
