Welcome to the Speech Room!
I am thrilled to be back at E.P. Todd to serve the community that educated me as a student! It is wonderful to be back "home."
After leaving Todd, I continued my education at Carver Jr. High (now Carver Middle School) and Spartanburg High School. I pursued a B.A. in English from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC (Go Blue Hose!) and a M.S. in Communication Disorders from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. Currently, I am an Ed.D. Candidate in Professional Leadership at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
My focus this year is HOPE. Hope anchors us during difficult times and helps us to endure trials and work through difficult situations. I have HOPE for my students and their families, that we can work through difficult situations together!
My job as the Speech-Language Pathologist is to support students who have Speech/Language Impairments or Communication Impairments. I provide teachers with information, screen students that parents or teachers are concerned about, evaluate, and implement therapy for those who require Speech/Langauge Services. Many students need extra support with their communication skills, espeically when it begins to impact how they are doing in class.
