  • Welcome to Spartanburg High School, Home of the Vikings!

    Dr. Andrew McMillan

On behalf of our faculty and staff, I welcome you to Spartanburg High School. Here at Spartanburg, our Viking Pride is alive and well!  I am enthusiastic and truly honored to serve as the Principal of this great school. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and showing an interest in our school! We hope that our website will answer your questions, provide useful information, and provide a snapshot of Spartanburg High School, where our graduates will be creative, critical thinkers, collaborators, effective communicators, and ethical citizens.

As Principal, I am committed to serving our students and inspiring and equipping them with the opportunities and resources to be successful after high school, so that they may be creative, critical thinkers, collaborators, effective communicators, and ethical citizens.

We are looking forward to working with you to ensure that this school year is a tremendous success for our stakeholders. We are proud of our students, teachers, staff, and parents/guardians.  Keeping our tradition of excellence and ensuring that Spartanburg High School remains a place where students are able to fully benefit from their educational possibilities while also learning to be kind and responsible young people is our ultimate objective.

During your visit to our website, you will discover that our students and faculty are committed to achieving success in academics, the arts, and athletics. Our school community is committed to providing our students with an educational experience that is well-rounded. Our mission is to inspire and equip our students for college, careers and meaningful lives of leadership and service as world citizens.

We encourage you to visit our beautiful school and see that we are a school committed to children. We are appreciative of the strong partnerships formed with our community and stakeholders, and I look forward to working with you. Spartanburg High School aims to develop leadership skills, social and emotional skills, and academic skills to prepare students for success not only in high school, but also in college, career, armed services, relationships, and life-long learning. All of this is made possible by strong partnerships that are developed with our parents and the community as a whole.
