Mrs. Kimberly Alverson
Hi! My name is Mrs. Kimberly Alverson. I have been teaching for 16 years. I began my career teaching at Houston Elementary where I taught Child Development. I taught there for 2 years before moving to Jesse Boyd Elementary School to teach fourth grade. I have taught fourth grade at Jesse Boyd for 14 years. There is no place I'd rather be than JBE! When I am not teaching I enjoy family time, working out and swimming.
This unit will be a year-long reflection on our growth as IB learners. We will set goals and use self-assessments to track our progress throughout the year.
Central Idea: Growth is a result of reflection and self-assessment.
Starting in early February, we will use measurement across our curriculum. We will become meteorologists in class, and we will learn how atmospheric measurements lead to planning and preparation that affect our everyday lives. We will also move into our math measurement unit during this planner.
Central Idea: Measurement assists in making scientific predictions.
