Leigh Turmel

I am in my 32nd year and corrently work as the ReadingRecovery Teacher Leader.  As teacher leader I work with teachers, administrators, and school based literacy coaches to change the culture of what intentional literacy instruction looks and sounds like. Our work involves developing deeper understandings about the reading/writing process and creating common expectations for engaging students’ in meaningful literacy instruction. These expectations are aligned with state standards and principles/strategies associated with Reading Recovery.
