Hello!  My name is Maggie Deckard, and I'm happy to say this is my 5th year teaching at Carver Middle School.  I grew up in Peoria, Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education degree from Eureka College in 2017.

This year, I will be teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade special education. I have an initial certification to teach multi-categorical special education, severe disabilities in special eduation, early childhood, elementary, middle level language arts, and middle level social studies.  I just graduated with a Masters degree in Applied Learning in Literacy from USC Upstate. Additionally, I am the co-advisor for the Yoga Club and Girls on the Run.

I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, being active and spending time outside!
