Ms. Alena Hogan

My name is Alena Hogan and I teach second grade at Mary H. Wright Elementary. This is my fourth year at Mary H. Wright, but my seventeenth year being in the classroom and my ninth year teaching 2nd grade. I graduated from USC Upstate and have a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology, a Bachelors of Arts Degree In Elementary Education from Converse College and a Masters In Middle Level Science Education which I also received from Converse College. I, and my husband and I grew up in Spartanburg and am proud to call it my home where we are raising our two boys. Although I have only been at Mary H. Wright a short time, I have already grown to love the people here and look forward to many wonderful years ahead. I am excited about teaching and getting to know my new students in a grade that I love teaching, and feel blessed to have the opportunity to do so.
