The DMES Literacy and Research Center (LRC) offers students 10,000 books on topics ranging from computer science, philosophy, language, technology, arts, literature, history, and geography.

The DMES LRC has a strong emphasis on teaching students how to research safely and effectively in a digital culture and uses the Big Six Model for research. Click here to learn more about the Big Six Model for research.

The DMES LRC plays a vital role in our school’s literacy efforts, creating excitement about books and reading and seeking to engender in our students a lifelong passion for seeking knowledge.

All K5-4^th grade DMES students visit the DMES LRC on a weekly basis, and 5^th grade students visit on an open schedule.
