McCracken Takes National Honors

  • McCracken Middle has earned the prestigious National School to Watch by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform, and was recognized at the National Schools to Watch Conference in Washington, DC in 2014. The organization evaluates and recognizes middle schools across the nation based on criteria that indicate high performance. Visit the Schools to Watch website to find out more about the initiative.  During the 2022-2023 school year, McCracken applied for Redesignation as a National School To Watch.  After the visiting team conducted a thorough site visit, interviewed all staff, our district leadership team, and a number of students, in addition to classroom observations, we were awarded the Redesignation status.  This award demonstrated considerable growth and development as a School to Watch in the areas of Academic Excellence, Social Equity, Developmental Responsiveness and Organizational Structures.  This is quite an honor and one that reflects the dedication, devotion, creative energy, innovation and hard work of our staff, parents and community on behalf of students.
