    Spartanburg School District 7 has pockets of excellence that outshine the best of the best around the world. Our students are designing, coding, composing, animating, and publishing. They are experimenting and solving problems of energy and water, and connecting across cultural and national borders through virtual exchanges. In our schools, our classroom teachers are engaging, motivating, and nurturing students to develop mindsets for lifelong learning. Our evidence-rich innovation to close the digital learning gap and improve learning for all students is why the District is one of ninety-three of the most forward-leaning school districts in the country that make up the prestigious League of Innovative Schools is a flagship network of district superintendents who share a commitment to pioneering innovative learning strategies and collaborating with researchers to drive improvement. The League was launched six years ago by Digital Promise, a national, independent nonprofit organization authorized by Congress, formed to bring researchers, entrepreneurs, and educators together to design and share new ideas and new tools.

    Members of League of Innovative Schools come from 33 states and serve more than 3.3 million students. Spartanburg School District 7, Lexington County School District 1, Richland School District 2, and Rock Hill Public Schools are the four school districts in South Carolina that were selected through a peer-reviewed application process. 

    D7 is honored to serve as a member of the prestigious League of Innovative Schools. Through asociation our District's students are acquiring the knowledge and skills they need to thrive and continuously learn in this ever-changing world and our mission -  to inspire and equip our students for meaningful lives of leadership and service as world citizens - is further strengthened.
