  • Sunglasses "chill out and read" Summer reading is so important! The Carver Media Center has partnered with the Spartanburg County Library to offer great prizes this year. Students were given a card to fill out the hours they read. They can return it to any public library branch or to their Carver librarian for prizes.

Students may read anything they like but here is a list of some recommendations.

  • camera It's time to reserve your yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year. Yearbooks are $20 and can be paid with cash or check made out to Carver Middle School. Remember, yearbooks must be pre-ordered before Spring Break. Only a very limited number will be available after that time.

In order to better communicate with parents and save paper at the same time, Carver's announcements are going paperless. We will use your email to send out monthly newsletters and important information that parents need to know. Your student will be bringing home a form to make sure we have your most current and frequently used email for our communications. Don't have an email? You can create one free!

  • Macbooks Distributed

    Students receive Macbooks

Students at Carver received Macbooks Aug. 28. It was a busy day as classes were called down to get a computer. Then all students were given assistance with their logins. There are still many students who still need to make a $25 deposit inorder to receive their Macbook, and district officials are working hard to fix any problems that came up during the rollout. We ask for your patience as we complete the process of making sure every student in District 7 has a device to use for their school work. We ask parents' assistance in stressing to your child proper computer care and web etiquette.  For strategies and tips regarding screen time and children, visit Common Sense Media.
