Pine Street and The South Carolina Arts Commission

Pine Street Elementary School is one of the first two Arts in Basic Curriculum sites in South Carolina. We are proud to partner with the South Carolina Arts Commission as we provide a rigorous, standards-based arts education for every child in our school. Each year a team of stakeholders gathers multiple times to collaborate through our Arts Steering Committee meetings.  This helps, not only to guide teachers in the building, but create a common arts language throughout the community.
