Back to School-Wildcat Style!

Gym packed for registration

Carver's gym was packed with wildcats and their families Tuesday night as the school held its second of two registrations. New principal Randy Edwards greeted parents and talked about his plans to "change the narrative" surrounding the school. "Your child should be successful at Carver Middle School," he said, asking parents to hold students accountable for their grades and behavior and pledging his commitment to making Carver's state report card shine.

Students received their schedules and had a chance to pay fees for technology and athletics. They also had an opportunity to meet new PTO President Chris "CeeJ" Jefferson. More than 100 families joined.

Representatives from Viking Early College were at both registrations to tell students about opportunities for high school, and Regenesis offered free physicals to Carver students at the evening event.

Classes start at 7:45 Monday, April 15.

NOTE: 7th graders MUST have proof of the tDap vaccine prior to the first day of school.
