Carver Students DARE to Be Drug-Free

A group of 6th-grade Carver students have been learning about the dangers of drug and alcohol addiction for the past nine weeks, through our DARE program. Students met with Carver's SRO, Officer Wright to explore the causes of and solutions to these problems. They celebrated their program graduation with a visit from the K-9 unit.  During their ceremony, a student stated “ DARE taught me life changing information that will help me make better choices. I didn’t understand  how harmful the effects of alcohol abuse and drugs were until this course.”
