Summertime brings a break from school, but the need for good nutrition doesn’t take a break. District 7 with the help from our local community partners is providing free healthy meals to children under 18 throughout the summer months.
Parents DO NOT need to apply to the program to get a free summer meal for their kids. Simply come by one of the sites.
Through the Summer Food Service Program, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, students may to receive up to two free meals a day at select D7 schools and other partner sites through a special program started by the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.
