Application Reopened for Free Need-Based Wi-Fi

District 7 has reopened the application process for free Wi-Fi hotspots for families who meet the qualifications set by the state of South Carolina. In July, an initial application process was held. Families who were confirmed to qualify for service during the first phase are in the process of receiving their hotspots as of September 1. The state has limited availability of additional hotspots that will be provided on a first-come, first served basis. Interested families are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. District 7's application will remain open as long as supplies remain available. The state has currently approved providing the program from August – December.

In order to be approved, a familiy must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

2) No internet service in their home
3) A child who currently attends a Spartanburg School District 7 school in grades K-12
