This is winning! Envirothon Team Earns 3rd Place!

Spartanburg High School’s Envirothon team representing the state of South Carolina earned THIRD PLACE overall at the National Conservation Foundation Envirothon Competition! The team of Henry Miles, Sean Abbott, Emily Daniels, Jacob Price, and Evan Davis competed against 41 state teams from across the United States, Canada, and China!

The team also garnered the top score in Soils Station. The National Envirothon competition focuses on five subject areas: aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and a current environmental topic.

We are so proud of Coach Rob Wilder and his dedicated hard-working team (pictured left to right): Henry Miles, Sean Abbott, Emily Daniels, Jacob Price, Evan Davis; and Chaperone Janet Walker, biology teacher. The Spartanburg High School Envirothon team has placed FIRST in the state for the last FIVE consecutive years.

A flawless finish – our Envirothon team is such an amazing collection of young people who represented SHS, District 7, Spartanburg and South Carolina so very well! They will all continue to do great things!
