Due to the severe weather, we are cancelling Meet the Teacher for this evening. The forecast is calling for continued rain and flood warnings through the evening. Meet the Teacher will be held on Friday, August 9th from 10:00am – 1:00pm. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. The safety of our entire school family is of the utmost importance. District 7's schools and offices will open at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7th so our employees can gather for our annual Opening Convocation. This special kick-off for the new school year is a celebration of the important role each member of our D7 faculty and staff plays in the lives of our students and families. Please note that all District 7 facilities will be closed until 11 a.m. Wednesday and thank you for your understanding.

Tax Free Weekend is here! Through Sunday, you can save when you buy school supplies, computers, clothes, bedding, and more, in-store and online as eligible purchases will be tax free! We hope to see our PreK & 5K families THURSDAY, August 1st from 10:00 - 11:30! Please park at the back of the school (drive past the front office and you will see another parking lot and the car loop). You are invited are invited to this mini-orientation in our cafeteria where you will learn about arrival and drop off routines.  We will do a walk about to show you how arrival and dismissal lines work and be available to answer all the questions you might have. school tour and have time to answer all the questions you might have.  After, families can chat and get to know one another while your preschool children play on the playground, run through sprinklers, and have fun on the splash pad!  Be sure to bring a towel!  We understand if you bring older children with you, but please do not have them play in the area designated for our preschools. You are welcome to accompany them to another playground designed for older children. Thank you, in advance, for monitoring your child(ren) and allowing us to chat with families and answer questions.

I have proudly served District 7 for six years and have over twenty years of experience working with children in Spartanburg and Greenville County. I reside in Spartanburg, S.C. with my wonderful husband and our four beautiful children. We have two amazing teenage sons: Zachary (19) and Matthew (17). 💜 My favorite color is purple, and my family loves cheering for the Clemson Tigers and playing soccer. 🐅⚽ I am certified in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and I am currently working towards my certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). 📚✨ I can't wait to meet all of you and start this amazing journey together! 🌟

My name is Kenisha Gist, and I am thrilled to join E.P. Todd as a Primary Montessori teacher. Born and raised in Woodruff, I graduated from Converse University in 2021 with a major in Early Childhood Education. 📚✨ My partner, Jerry, and I have a wonderful daughter named Jurnee, who will also be joining E.P. Todd as a student this year. We’re also expecting a baby boy, Jerry Jr., due in November! 👶❤️ I love singing, being outdoors, cooking, learning, and spending quality time with my family. I can't wait to meet all of you and the amazing students at E.P. Todd. Let's make this school year incredible together! 🌟

🌟 Proud to be a Todd Tiger! 🌟 After student teaching with us last fall and completing some long term-sub positions inthe spring, we are so excited to officially welcome Ms. Moates to the team as our new art teacher! Hello everyone! My name is Dori Moates, and I am thrilled to officially join EP Todd Elementary as a first-year teacher! 🎨✨ I am a Spartanburg native and graduated from the University of South Carolina-Upstate in December 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education. My journey with EP Todd began as a student teacher, and I am excited to continue creating a safe, fun, and engaging educational environment for our youngest learners. I am very excited for this school year and can't wait to get started! 🌟

Our next Referendum Community Info Meeting is coming up next Tuesday at 6 pm at the District 7 Fine Arts Center on the Spartanburg High School campus. Please join us! As a reminder, we will also have meetings at noon and 6 pm on August 13 at Mount Moriah Baptist Church and at 6 pm on August 19 at the District 7 Fine Arts Center at SHS. The complete meeting schedule is below along with the information about our July 30th meeting. The Spartanburg County Health Department will host an immunization blitz clinic ahead of the new school year. The event will be held on August 5 at the Spartanburg County Health Department located at 120 Dillon Drive from 9 a.m. to 3;30 p.m. Traditional appointments are encouraged. You can make an appointment by calling 1-855-472-3432. Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Originally from Gaffney, SC, I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2023 with a major in Elementary Education. 🎓🍎 After teaching 1st grade, I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to 2nd grade this year. Outside the classroom, I enjoy being involved in church, babysitting, reading, and experimenting with photography. 📚📸 I can't wait to meet your students and embark on an amazing school year together! 🌟❤️

My name is Parker Shepherd, and I’m excited to join the Todd family as a PE teacher! 🏃‍♂️✨ This will be my fourth year teaching PE, but my first year here at EP Todd. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2022 with degrees in Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education. My goal is to help students develop a healthy relationship with physical activity. As a huge Gamecock fan, I’ve always had a passion for sports and physical activity. Outside of teaching, I’ve enjoyed coaching football and baseball. 🏈⚾ I’m looking forward to an amazing school year with all of you! 🌟

My name is Ursula Wright, and I am so excited to embark on this new journey as a Kindergarten teacher at E.P. Todd! 🍎✨ I’m married to the love of my life, Carl, and we have three handsome young men: identical twins Deven and Deitrich, and our youngest son, Davison. We cherish spending time together and with our extended family. 💖 I love singing, writing, gardening, cooking, and learning new things. WELCOME TO TODD! We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Frances Memmott to our Preschool Team at EP Todd! I'm so excited to join the amazing team here at E. P. Todd School! A little about me: I'm originally from Columbia, SC, and I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with an add-on certification in teaching students with learning disabilities from the University of South Carolina-Upstate. After college, I taught preschool (3K) at Gaffney Head Start for 3 years. For the past 9 years, I've been teaching Preschool Special Education in the Child Development Centers in Greenville County Schools. Teaching young minds and watching them grow has been such a rewarding experience for me. On a personal note, my husband Corey and I recently moved to Spartanburg to be closer to family. We have a Labrador retriever named Heidi, who is absolutely adorable but can be a bit of a rascal! 🐾 And we are thrilled to be expecting our first baby in August! 👶💕 I'm looking forward to an incredible school year ahead and can't wait to meet all of you and your wonderful children. Let's make this year a great one filled with learning, growth, and lots of fun!
