Carver Middle School is thrilled to announce our Teacher and support staff of the year.
Mr. Tinsely, our computer tech, was named Support Staff Member of the year. "Mr. Tinsley is a young man with an incredibly bright future, " says Principal Mr. Edwards. "He carries a maturity and a professionalism far beyond his years. He understands his key role in supporting the technology roles to help Carver grow and flourish. He is dedicated and consistent in that role. He learns the most efficient way quickly and brings strong suggestions for how to make our processes even more efficient. He is dependable and respectful to all. His support of teachers and students is top notch and with Mr. Tinsley helping them, the have what they need to win."
Sixth grade science teacher Mr. Brown was named our Teacher of the Year. "Mr. Brown is a dedicated, hardworking, and intentional educator," Edwards says. "In his short time at Carver he has captured the heart of our building, both students and faculty. His greatest asset is his extremely positive attitude that the brings every single day. He wants to the best for Carver and our students and he works to make that happen. He's a great supporter of others. When we have school dances, he's there in his suit having a blast! When our wrestlers are at the state championship in Lexington, he's there and he's the loudest one in the gym! He's intentional about his growth as an educator and dives fully into our Professional Learning Communities to find the best ways to help his students to achieve at high levels."
They were voted on by the faculty. Mr. Brown will go on to the district level Teacher of the Year nominations.
