Wildcat Maiya Johnson was recently selected for the Region 1 Honors Orchestra. The South Carolina Region 1 Orchestra is an annual honors ensemble organized by the South Carolina Music Educators Association (SCMEA) Orchestra Division for talented middle and high school string students in the Upstate region.

Johnson plays violin for the Carver orchestra, co-conducted by Mr. Kvasnicka and Dr. Jenkins-Russ.

The ensemble will perform in November. Afterwards, she will have the opportunity to audition for All-State Orchestra.

We are so proud of this Wildcat!
