This Wednesday (May 14) is "Hats OFF to Education" day in D7!
All faculty, staff, and students are invited support future educators from the Class of 2025 by wearing your favorite hat and bringing $1 (or more) to school to contribute to the effort. All funds raised will support our Teacher Forum's scholarships for this year's seniors majoring in education.

Yesterday evening our students in our Dance Class led by Ms. Demery Trantham put on an excellent performance showcasing their work this year. After focusing on ballet in the fall, their spring work centered on jazz and hip hop. They certainly brought the energy last night!

Mrs. Erin Bouchillon, LVT from Greenville Technical College, spoke with Ms. Beasley's career classes today about being a veterinarian technician. She shared with them how she became a veterinarian technician. Students asked lots of questions about animals and her occupation. They examined animal x-rays, performed chest compressions, and bandaged an artificial animal's legs.
Our 6th grade science teachers brought all the positive vibes today as their students took SC Ready Science this morning!

Families of 8th graders are invited to attend the promotion ceremony Wednesday, March 21, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place in the Carver gym. Please park at the rear of the school.
Mayor Rice stopped by Carver today to talk to students about leadership. They had lots of great questions about what being a mayor is like.
All medications must be picked up from the health room prior to May 23 at 12 p.m. Examples include epipens, inhalers and prescription medications. All medications not picked up by noon will be properly discarded.
Every orchestra student in grades 5-12 performed before a packed house in Viking Arena for last night’s season finale. It was a spectacular tribute to their year! Our 400+ students ended the concert in perfect harmony as they joined togetherer in playing “America the Beautiful”.
Congratulations to each of our orchestras and their conductors on “Going for Great” - and achieving it in the most beautiful way!

Congratulations to our March Teacher of The Month, Dr. Stephanie Barrett! She is consistent as they come. Her high standards for students push them to grow and do more than they thought they could. She is a great ambassador for Carver and constant mentor in the lives of her PALS club girls. She supports the initiatives of the school in so many ways and Carver is better because she’s there.

On April 15th, AVID students went on a field trip to USC Upstate to tour. They learned about the extracurricular activities, requirements, and other additional assets of Upstate. They got to see the pool, the e-sports center, the workout area, and explored more buildings. They also got permission to play basketball inside of the gym. After, they ate at the buffet. The buffet offered pizza, burgers, quesadillas, salads, and other delicious foods.
