Our school is full of wonderful educators, and not just adults! Mr. Collins and Mr. Nchinda presented a great lesson on plot to Mrs. McCarter-Smith's 6th grade English class. They even had Principal Edwards participate in their activity and take their assessment. How did he do?

We have so much to be grateful for and so much to give to our community as well. We're proud of current Carver student, Joan Chantres, and former Carver students with Viking Soccer for volunteering their time working on a facilities project at the Children's Advocacy Center. Head Soccer Coach Paul Karban is developing his athletes on the field and off.

Happy Thanksgiving, D7 Family!
This has been quite a school year so far – while wonderful things are happening for our students every day, we have also had unexpected challenges from Hurricane Helene's impact on our school year. There is a silver lining in all things, however, and the good that came from the storm was how it brought our community together to care for and support one another. Our students, staff, and families played a big role in the effort, and that makes me especially proud and grateful for everyone this Thanksgiving.
Over the past several days, our schools have been buzzing with holiday excitement and activities. From a Thanksgiving meal drive at our high school where students packed more than 200 grocery bags to help families in need celebrate a meal together, to creative learning assignments inspired by turkeys and holiday traditions, to special menus in our cafeterias and class parties with family members, they are all a reminder of what makes this community so special.
From all of us in District 7, please know we are truly thankful for each of you and the support you give to our schools every day. Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and joyful Thanksgiving!

What a day for our Lady Wildcats!!! They were able to go see Wofford's Women's Basketball in action today. That trip must have inspired them as they turned in a dominant performance and got the victory in their preseason tournament today!
Boys are preparing to tip off in the championship game now!

🌟🦃 Exciting Day at Carver Middle! 🦃🌟
Today, our wonderful teachers and faculty took part in the "Disguise the Turkey" activity! For those who may not know, "Disguise the Turkey" is a fun activity where participants creatively decorate turkeys to hide them from being gobbled up for Thanksgiving!
Each disguise is a unique expression of creativity and humor, and we can't wait to see which one will take the crown! 🏆
Let’s have a round of applause to our amazing staff and their fantastic creations! 🎉🍂
. . . Congratulations to the winners of the Turkey Disguise contest! 🎉
1st Place: Ninja Turtles
2nd Place: Astronaut
3rd Place: Fruit Loops
A big thank you to everyone who participated! Your creativity made this event special. Keep up the great work!

Over the past few weeks we've continued to celebrate excellence in our building. Our Support Staff of the Year, Terry Free, and our Teacher of the Year, Kevin Maloney, were honored at events and a Friday Night Football Game! We're grateful for how they serve our students daily.

Carver Choir's Welcome Winter Concert was an awesome celebration of the work these students and Ms. Durrah have done this semester. They sang some of the songs they've learned this semester and delighted us with songs of the season. They even brought in the crowd with some winter song-a-long favorites!
