Spartanburg High School is proud to introduce the Viking Sea Steamers Coffee Cart & More — a student-run initiative led by our exceptional learners under the guidance of Ms. Biggerstaff and Mr. Mitchell.
As part of the credential program at SHS, students are gaining valuable employability and life skills while earning work hours. From counting back change and providing customer service to preparing beverages and managing daily operations, these students are learning real-world skills that will support them well beyond high school.
"Giving young adults hope and experiences no matter where they come from or who they are, they can achieve their goals in life and become confident individuals," Ms. Biggerstaff and Mr. Mitchell said.
The cart is open daily from 7:45 to 9:00 AM, but teachers can also place an order and have it delivered by students. You’ll also see students from Ms. O'Dell’s class joining the team periodically to gain experience.

And there’s more to come! In the months ahead, SHS staff and students can look forward to student-made home décor items available for purchase.
