While most ninth graders are still finding their way around high school, Spartanburg High School freshman Tradd Hodge is leading a nonprofit that’s bringing hope to children across the Carolinas. At just 15 years old, he founded The Giver Foundation, an organization that has already touched thousands of lives through donations, hospital visits, and community outreach. Balancing school, sports, scouting, and service, Tradd is showing what it means to lead with compassion and determination.

The Spartanburg High School girls tennis team is off to a dominant start, with a 7–1 record and big wins over rivals like Gaffney, Dorman, and Byrnes. With 12 state championships already in the program’s history, this year’s players are carrying on the tradition of excellence, while also building a strong sisterhood that goes far beyond the court. From pre-match rituals to team dinners and big goals for the season, the Vikings are chasing another title while celebrating the bonds that make them stronger together.
