Spartanburg High School proudly recognized two outstanding student-athletes on Wednesday as part of Early National Signing Day. Surrounded by their families, teammates, and the Viking football coaching staff, senior athletes Trey Burke and Will Love signed their official commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Trey Burke — East Carolina University
Quarterback Trey Burke officially signed with East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, where he will join the Pirates football program this spring. Known for his strong leadership, discipline, and dedication both on and off the field, Trey has excelled academically throughout high school, earning an impressive 4.076 GPA.

Will Love — Virginia Tech
Kicker Will Love, a four-year varsity starter and senior captain, signed with Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia — he will join his brother, John Love, who is also a kicker for the Hokies. Will has shown tremendous discipline and drive, reflected not only in his athletic performance but also in his outstanding academic record, holding a remarkable 5.078 GPA. He plans to major in Biology while pursuing his college football career.

Both students will begin their college careers in January, officially joining their respective programs early.
Their signing ceremony reflected years of hard work and the support systems that helped guide them — parents, teachers, coaches, teammates, and the Spartanburg community.
