Students at VEC had a full week of learning and leadership opportunities, highlighted by a packed Friday.
Clemson Extension visited VEC 4-H Teen Council at Spartanburg High School to share insights on beef cattle, agriculture careers, genetics, drones, and their mission. The goal of the visit was to help the VEC boys see the wide range of career opportunities available within the agriculture industry.

VEC students in partnership with First Tee experienced a golf simulation at Back Nine, with the goal of character education through a series of lessons in mentorship and the game of golf.

And for Fab Friday at USC Upstate, students explored different college majors, toured classrooms, and had lunch with department heads to ask questions and learn more about future career paths.

Coming up, VEC students will host Senior Bingo at TK Gregg and are looking forward to a Lunch and Learn with Dr. Russell Booker, former D7 Superintendent, and Bill Barnet, former Spartanburg mayor.
