While our students enjoyed a day away from the classroom on Friday, October 2, our teachers and staff took their turn as students!
Nearly 650 certified staff members came together for a full day of professional learning, collaboration and growth, all focused on giving our students the very best learning experiences possible.
And this was anything but a one-size-fits-all day! Staff participated in sessions tailored to their roles, ranging from literacy, math, and digital learning to the arts, special education, multilingual learners, student wellbeing, instructional coaching, and much more.
Learning happened all across D7 and beyond. Our schools and district facilities became classrooms for the day, including our new Transportation Training Room, while community partners like Chapman Cultural Center, in partnership with the Spartanburg Philharmonic, and Spartanburg Academic Movement also hosted meaningful opportunities for our educators.
EVERYONE accepted this mission, knowing what they learn comes right back to our classrooms and students.
A huge thank you to all who helped make the day possible, especially D7's instructional services team!
We look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday, armed with countless ideas and new skills to inspire and equip. Mission Accepted!
